N.Z. LOAN AND MERCANTILE. The New Zealand Loan and .Mercantile report: •. At riav.eea, on 23rd inst., we had a full yarding. In spite of the rough weatner there was a good attendance. We report a total clearance at prices satisfactory to vendors. We had only a small entry of dairy cattle, due to the season oeing almost over. The bulk of this class lacked quality, consequently prices were low. vVe report : Fat cows (good) £6 10s to £7 ios, do. (light) to £5 15s, forward cowi? £3 to £4 Ids, young store cows £2 14s, works cows 15s to £2 10s, 2-year Hereford and Hereford cross empty heifers (tan-) £3, yearling heifers* (medium) and small £1 os to £3, grade 2-year Jersey maiden bulls 7gns to 14£gns. pedigree 2-year Jersey bull 21-Jgns, sow in pig £4 os, store pigs £1 9s to £1 11s small do. 16s, good springing heifers £7 to £lO, calved and backward poor quality sorts £3 to £5: 15s, cows £4 10s to £lO. FROZEN AIEAT. The New Zealand Loan and Alercantile Agency Company, Ltd., have received the following cablegram from their London house under date 24th instant: New Zealand frozen meat— Lamb, 12-Id per lb (average). Alutton, wether and maiden ewe, light Bfdi per lb, 6j-d. Market steady. TALLOW. Dalgety and Companv, Ltd., report having received the following cablefrom their London house under date of the 22nd instant: Tallow— Une thousand and twenty casks of talow- offered; 920 casks sold.
