ROUMANIAN NAVAL BASE. . ATHENS, Sept. 11. It is announced from Bucharest that ou Admiral of the Fleet Earl Beatty’s advice the port of Mangalia lias been selected as the Roumanian naval base. Admiral Lord Beatty is expected shortly to visit Athens and some -of the Greek ports. FILM FIRE ON A LAKE. BERLIN, Sept. 7. During the making of a new film entitled “The Motor Bridge,” at Jegeler lake, near Berlin, 50 gallons of benzine were poured on the water and ignited, so. that a fast motor boat should dash over the burning lake. The engine, however, failed in the midst of the flames, and the boat caught fire. The film operator was badly burned. FAMILY KILLED IN CRASH. TOLEDO, Aug. 29. Seven members of one family were hurled to their death on Thursday night at Perryburg, eleven miles from here, when a Baltimore and Ohio- passenger train struck their automobile ac an unguarded crossing. Only one occupant of the car escaped with his life. He, however, is in a. serious condition at a Perry,sburg hospital and may not recover.
