N.Z. FRIESIANS IN AUSTRALIA.
GREAT SHOW SUCCESSES. Following the great run of successes of New Zealand stud stock at the reeon t international show at Palermo, high honours’were, won bv i\ey Zealand bred Friesian cattle at two of the principal Australian shows. They had a day out at the Adelaide Royal, securing both championships and aii first awards, with the exception, of three classes, in which they had to accept second place. Hc-nly Stud FrJesians, Ltd. won the J J orter Challenge- Cup . for most points, scoring 58 points with their team of 18 head, all New Zealand bred, or whose sires and dams were bred in Hew Zealand. Longbeacli-bred bulls secured both the championship and reserve championship in the male section, and indeed right throughout the prize-list the prefix “Longbeach” is a very familiar one. The champion bull, Longbeach General Botha, was bred by Mr. J. C. N. Grigg, as was the reserve champion, Longbeach Big King. The championship in the female classes went to Domino Holland Belle, bred by the Palmerston North Mr, W. I. Lovelock
