GERMAN MISSIONARIES. IN MANDATED TERRITORIES. “A CHRISTIAN VIEW.” BY CABLE—PBESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT. (Received Oct. 25, 11.5 a.m.) BRISBANE, Oct. 25. The Anglican Provincial Synod at Rpckhampton, on the motion of the Bishop of New Guinea, adopted a resolution asking the Commonwealth authorities to rescind an order that all German-born missionaries leave the mandated territories by July 1, 1928. The belief was expressed that the deportation of German missionaries who had not been guilty of disloyalty would be highly detrimental to mission work. The mover said that at the time deportation w,as decided upon the missionaries 1 feelings were a good deal stirred. Now, after the lapse of years, they were able to take a wider and niore Christian view. The motion meant helping not only the Anglican, hut all the mission bodies in the mandated territory.
