FIRE IN GARAGE. (BY TELEGRAPH —PREBS ASSOCIATION. DUNEDIN, Oct. 24. Early this morning a fire was discovered in Webling’s garage in Castle Street, a new building. The fire was in the front portion, and the brigade, attacking from the rear, saved 21 cars housed in the front. The fire badly damaged the furnishings, and the stock of- motor parts was ruined. The adjoining premises* occupied by H. Brien, upholsterer, were also damaged. The buildings were insured for £4OOO in the Yorkshire office. SCHOOL DESTROYED. CHRISTCHURCH, Oct. 24. The Southbridge District High School, an old building, was destroyed by fire last night.
