WOMAN DECEIVED AND ROBBED. BY CABLE—PRESS 'ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT MELBOURNE, Oct. 23. A provisional warrant has been issued for the' arrest of a man Avho a few hours after his marriage borroAved £2O fvoni his wife and disappeared. The police allege that he is wanted for previous wife desertions in New South Wales, South Australia and Victoria. In the last-named case he disappeared after getting his Avife’s money. In another case, he secured a woman’s money under promise of marriage, which, lie failed to keep. The man is described as an Englishman, ivell educated, fluent, affable and an ardent churchgoer.
