EGMONT A. AND P. SHOW.

The dates of the Egmont A. and P. Association’s 41st annual show,, November 19 and 20, are ndw less than four weeks off, and as they approach interest in the show increases. The schedule of classes for this year’s show has been carefully revised by eommitttees representing the different breed societies in the province, and has been brought up to date in every way. In addition to the usual prize-money, several valuable cups and trophies /are being offered for competition in all sections. Chief among the new trophies offered this year is the Wanganui Fresh Food Company’s silver cup, value 25 guineas, which is offered for the best grade or crossbred dairy, cow other than those entered in any herd book. As owners of more than 50 per cent, of pedigree cows are barred from competing, this generous donation should encourage farmers who are not pedigree stock breeders to exhibit their cattle at this year’s show. In adidtion to the cup the .Association offers the usual prizemoney for this class. The motto underlying this class is “Increased Production.” Another important chance is the inclusion of a section for grade and crossbred cattle, to be judged on daily type, thus giving the smaller farmer a chance of competing, with ever% prospect of success. Schedules and all information may be obtained from the secretary, P.'O. Box 148, Hawera.
