MARKET REPORT. The Farmers’ Co-op. Orgfinisatiou Society of New ealand, Ltd., report as follows— At Opunake on Monday, 20th inst., we conducted ojir usual fortnightly sa-l-e Und annual bull fair. We hail an exceptionally heavy yarding, hulls coming forward in large numbers, 48 being sold under tlie hammer, practically a total clearance at prices very satisfactory to vendors, Store cows also sold well. Dairy heifers were rather neglected, and yearlings offered did not show much quality with the exception of a pen or two. We quote: Fat bullocks, £9 10s to £ll 10s; fat cows, £5 15s to £6; forward cows, £3 10s to £4 ss; works and boner cows sold well; small yearling steers, £2 4s to £2 8s; good quality. yearling heifers, £4 7s (kl; crossbred do., small and poor conditioned, 23& to £2 10s. Bulls met with a ready sale. Pedigree-year bulls, 21gns down fo 12A-gns for yearlings; grade 2-year bulls, £lO to £.12; others, £7 to £9 Ids; yearling bulls, £4 10s to £6; aged sound bulls, £4 I.os to £9. •On Wednesday at Eltham we conducted oxir usual, fortnightly sale. We are pleased to report a good yarding, everything being cleared, at tlie hampier. We quote: Store pigs, 27s 6d: fat shorn ewes, 18s 6d ; fat hoggets, 30s 7d; fat cows, £6 2s 6d to £7 12s 6d; lighter clo., £5: heavy works cows to £4; young store cows, £3 to £3 17s; boners at late rates; yearling Jersey cross heifers, £2 10s to. £3 Is; dairy heifers, best quality, £8 10s to £10; others at late rates. At Eltham on Saturday we conducted our annual bull fair." In spite of the exceptionally rough weather some 45 bulls were yarded, the majority changing hands at the hammer. There was a strong, demand for grade 2-year bulls in good condition. We quote: Pedigree Holstein bull, 4 years, lOgns; pedigree Jersey hulls, 17"gns to £2l 10s 6d; grade Jerseys, best sorts. 14£ gjjs. to 174gns; others, 9igns to llgns.
