PUBLIC NOTICES. NOTICE. OVERDUE ; ACCOUNTS. 'J’HE Proprietors of “The Hawera Star ” thank those subscribers aud advertisers who have paid their accounts regularly. Many however, have failed to do so, and drastic measures must be taken to collect overdue accounts. Considerable leniency has been shown in the past on account of so many persons' being affected bv slump conditions, but it •is felt that in many cases this leniency has been abused. A very large total is involved, and in view of the heavy cost of personal collection where accounts are spread over so wide an area, notice is given that legal proceedings will be taken unless accounts of the class referred to are promptly paid, or definite arrangements made for payment. Those who 1 disregard this notice must be prepared for the action threatened, and no exceptions will be made. W. A! PARKINSON & CO., LTD., Proprietors “The Hawera Star.” Hawera, 18th October, 1924.
