Arrangements have been made for the vessel Jc.hn Alee to leave Darwin for Booroolcoia, conveying- mounted constables and two black trackers for the purpose of establishing a ponce station at Elcho Island, with the hope of collecting further . information regarding the women survivors of the Douglas Mawson.
•■- Darwin expedition has been fitted out tty citizens to search for the Douglas Mawson women, and will consist of several parties of experienced bushmen. -t proceeds overland to Arnheim Land with horses, and will scour the country horn many' different points. A blackfellow from Arnheim; who arrived at Darwin, emphatically states that when the Huddersfield police approached Caledon, blacks with white women embarked in canoes and landed on an island in the gulf. A Brisbane citizen offered to lend an aeroplane for the search. It is claimed that the Huddersfield expedition covered only about one-fourteenth of the area of Arenheim Land.
