As a stage play “Queen of the Moulin Rouge” thrilled Broadway for over a year at the Circle Theatre. Dramatic critics hailed it as one of the strongest stories ever given legitimate production. The story is one that appeals, to the emotions. It is the love story cf a youth in an old world setting; -the story of a young woman’s sacrifice cf the world’s respect that her sweetheart might rise to- fame and fortune. It abounds in thrill, and holds the interest by the charm of its settings and the brilliance of its action. It is a story of gay Paris and of sordid Paris. The supporting programme includes “Baby Vernon” in “Plumb Crazy,” an interesting scenic and the latest Pathe Gazette.
