PUBLIC NOTICES. NOTICE. OVERDUE Proprietors of “The Hawera i Star ” thank those subscribers and advertisers who have paid their accounts ; regularly. Many, however, have- failed to do so, and drastic measures must be taken to collect overdue accounts. 1 Considerable leniency has been shown in the past on account of so many persons being affected bv slump conditions, but it is felt that in many cases this leniency has been abused. A very large total is involved, and in view of the heavy cost of personal collection where accounts are spread oyer so wide an area, notice is given that legal proceedings will be taken unless accounts of the class referred to are promptly paid, or definite arrangements made for payment. -Those who disregard this notice must be prepared for the action threatened, and no exceptions, will be made.
