HA WEI? A LADIES’ CLUB. CLOSING DAY. Arrangements for Wednesday, 22nd inst. ar-e now well'in hand, and given their necessary complement, a fine clay with a good attendance of members and friends, the day’s function should be a fitting climax to a very successful season. Senior and junior prizes are being offered for all events, the line of division being the L.G.U. handicap. In the morning there will, be two bogey competitions, a. senior and junior, and after lunch the .usual competitions—putting, driving, and approaching and putting. The day’s events will close with the distribution of the season's prizes by the president, Mrs Tonks, and to enable this to- take place not later than 4.30 p.m. competitors, are asked .to be in good time for an early start at 10 a.m. Names will be drawn ou Monday and should visitors not included in the draw arrive on the closing day an .exchange of partners can be arranged.
Mrs Hall and Miss Elliott have tied in the Yankee tournament with seven wins and a half each, and are to play off early in the week. Miss O’Rorke comes next with.six wins and a half. Miss Burgess wins the L.G.TJ. silver medal with, a nett aggregate score of 359. ' Mrs Foyster wins the bronze medal, with 367. Mrs Bright and Mrs Christie tying for second plaee'with 379. The only’ reduction this week is Mrs Christie’s 101 —79—22.
