BUSINESS NOTICES.

In this issue Mr E. Higgs announces by advertisement that he has taken over the wood and coal business heretofore carried on by Mr C. Gomer. Mr Higgs is well-known in the district through his long connection with the “Star” as one of the staff, and no doubt, he will be well supported in his business venture. J, G. Smith advertises full particulars of sale of furniture and effects which he will hold on account of Mrs E. Whyte (who is giving up housekeeping owing to indifferent health), at her house, Weld Street, Norrnanby, on Wednesday, the 22nd inst.. at 1.30 p.m. On Tuesday next R. P. Morrissey and Go. will hold a sale at their Union street sale rooms, 'when they will offer a f|uantity of furniture and effects, together with the balance of goods, tools etc., on account of the Public Trustee executor in the estate of the late John Macklam. The sale is at 1.15 p.m., and particulars will be found in our advertising columns.
