PUBLIC NOTICES. NOTICE. OVERDUE ACCOUNTS. T HE Proprietors of “The Hawera Star ” thank those subscribers and advertisers who have paid their accounts regularly. Many, however, have failed to 'do so, and drastic measures must be taken to •collect, overdue accounts. > Considerable leniency' has been shown in the past on account of so many persons being affected bv slump conditions, but it. is felt •that in many cases this leniency has been abused. A veiy large total is involved, and in .view of the heavy cost of personal collection where accounts are spread oyer so wide an area, notice is given that legal proceedings will be taken unless accounts of the class referred to are promptly paid, or definite arrangements made for payment. Those who . disregard this notice must be prepared for the action threatened, and no exceptions will be made. W. A.
