The Daily Mail says a mob, consisting of several hundred people, hurling bricks, bottles and pieces of concrete, desperately attacked the brake from which Midgley, the Labour candidate was addressing a meeting in West Belfast. The police made a baton charge and drove the assailants off. Midgley and nineteen others were injured, six being sent to hospital.—Sydney Sun Cables.
