DAIRY INTERESTS.
SHIPPING SPACE ALLOTTED. WHAT COMPETITORS ARE DOING. . The National Dairy Association advises shipping space allotments for October and November. The various steamers listed to load dairy produce should, as near as can be estimated, provide space for the bulk of butter and cheese.graded to at least the third week in NoA'ember; in fact, as far as butter i s concerned, it is belie A-ed that the_ Tainui will lift practically ail a Available butter from the remaining North Island grading ports when she completes loading at Wellington about December 1. The Remuera and Turakina, both loading at Auckland about the middle of NoA'ember, should clear Auckland stores of all butter and cheese available for shipment at load-, ing dates, and it .is understood from the Shipping Committee that further steamers will be available for Auckland either at the end of NoA'ember or early December. “A brief revieAV of the space aA'ailable, in our opinion, reveals the position, as far as shipping is concerned, as very favourable indeed for the prompt shipment of the gradings to the end of October at least.” The names of vessels, approximate sailing dates, and quantities of produce, are as follow: Maimoa, Auckland, October 11, 49,462 boxes of butter; Mamari, Auckland, October- 11, 10,000 boxes butter, 5200 crates cheese; Rotorua, Wellington, October 18, 111,950 boxes butter, 31,924 crates cheese; Kaikoura, Wellington, October 28, 9760-boxes butter, 45,000 crates cheese; Port Caroline, Wellington, October 30, 63,618 boxes butter, 22,085 crates cheese; Ara Ava, Wellington, November 11, 80,782 boxes butter, 18,905 orates cheese; Orari, Auckland, Nevemher 13, 104,150 boxes butter, 16,536 crates cheese; Karamea, Bluff, 44,076 boxes butter,. 12,300 crates cheese; Turakina, NoA'ember 18, Wellington, 36,700 boxes biittef, 52,068 crates, cheese’; Remuera, Wellington, November 29 , 46,364 boxes butter, 14,000 crates cheese; Tainui, Wellington, December 2, 67,600 boxes butter, T9jßoo crates cheese; The Dairy Produce Control Board reports shipments of dairy produce from the Argentine, July and August for the three years as folloAA's : Butter.
