Received Oct. 16, 9.50 a.m. LONDON, Oct. 15. It is stated that the Pacific Cable Board .is nearing a decision to duplicate the cable. Experts advise wireless will not prove a serious opponent for years, and duplication wiO enable a, vastly increased and,quicker service, removing the necessity for diverting surplus business to other channels. — Sydney Sun Cables. BIG LEGAL ACTION SETTLED. LONDON, Oct. 15. The Duoross actions against the Dunlop Rubber Co. have been settled. Tt is announced that Dunlops are paying Sir Arthur Ducross and three other plaintiffs £31,250 damages for alleged breach of contract and also unreservedly withdrawing a charge of alleged' fraud and abandoning the counterclaim.
