CARS WITHOUT LIGHTS.
SOLICITORS FINED. Two members of the legal fraternity were amongst those wiio appeared this morning before! Messrs vC. O. Ekdalil, and E. Dixon, J.’sl 3 ., at the Huwera Magistrate’s Court to answer''charges involving a breach of the borough by-laws The first member of. the bar to rise was Jdarold B. Gibson, who. was charged with allowing his car to stand without Lights in Albion Street. Defendant said lie very much regretted having to plead guilty, and said : could not plead ignorance of tin law on the matter. However, in the position in which his car had been left there was no element of danger, . A fin. e of os and 7s court costs was imposed. The other member of the bar, Frederick Campbell Spratt, >vlio had left Iris ear in Albion Street outside the Horough Council Chambers, was similarly charged, and a fine- of qs. and 7s court costs was imposed in lii.s case. A motorist named .Tack Bishop, who was charged with leaving his car without- lights on the Mountain Hoad, was lined £1 and 7s court costs. Constable Pidgeon said that the car was partly across the road.
