On a charge of assault on Oscar Arthur Jenson witli intent to do bodily harm, Benjamin Harrison Shutes was committed for trial, reserving his defence. “ On the two charges, one of having murdered Louis Short and another of having assaulted Frederick James Sands, accused was remanded for eight days.
