ENGLISH LADIES’ CHAMPIONSHIP MISS WETHERED WINS AGAIN BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT. LONDON, Oct. 11. English Ladies’ Golf Championship final .result: Miss Wethered (holder) beat Miss D. Foster eight and seven. —Reuter. WELLINGTON LADIES’ CHAMPIONSHIP (by TELEGRAPH PRESS ASSOCIATION. WELLINGTON, Oct. 12. The final of the Wtellington provincial golf tournament was played off on Saturday in perfect weather. The course was still a little slaw, but in perfect order. The committee decided to play the final over IS holes, instead of 36. Both finalists were decidedly off colour, and the display of golf was mediocre for a provincial tourney. Mi's Sclainder in many instances topped her tee shots and in fact gave a poor exhibition. Miss Bell’s chief weakness was approach arid green work, hut she played some fine wooden shots. In winning the game, three up and two, Mrs Schlander did not equal the standard shown .in the semi-finals.
