TO SIT ALL NIGHT
CONTENTIOUS BILL. WORK IN PARLIAMENT. IMPORTANT PROVISIONS. (By Telegraph—Special to Star.) WELLINGTON, Oct, 13. The coming week in Parliament will probahiy be one of the most interesting of the session, as it is expected the Government will ask the House to deal with the Legislative Amendment Bill. There is so much conflict of opinion on electoral systems that, except for the Labour ranks, there is a division within the parties. A considerable amount of time has been spent this session merely debating the introduction of the Bill before its contents were known. Therefore to avoid further interference with the business, as the session must soon be ended, the Government intends to take the electoral measure through all the stages at one sitting. This is likely' to involve an all-night discussion, but members are prepared to face this ordeal in the hope of achieving definite results. Another important topic will come before Parliament to-morrow, when the Licensing Committee is expected to make its recommendations on the amendments in the licensing law.
