IMPORTS INCREASE.
BRITAIN’S TRADE. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT LONDON, Oct. 11. The Board of Trade returns for September show that the value of the imports increased by £17,723,310, compared with September, 1923, and exports increased by £1,455,092. The principal increases in imports were: Grain artd flour, £2,805,652; non-duitable food and drink, £2,528,467; dutiable food and drink, £2,151,9(0; wool, £2,100,651; oils, fats and resins, £1,389,796. The increases in exports were: Cotton and varus, £1,262,776. ‘ The decreases in imports were: Rubber, £1,021,073. The decrease in exports was: Coal, £2,085,762.
