“PEG O’ MY HEART.”
Next Wednesday the company will be seen in the pretty drama “Reg o’ My Heart,” in which Nellie Br am ley fascinates all by her impersonation of the little Irish girl. The story briefly is as follows: A rich English family are seen living in luxury on their money till their bank fails and leaves them penniless. At the critical moment conies an offer under a wealthy uncle’s will to pay them £IOOO a. year to' adopt Peg and put a few of the refining: touches of society on her. This offer is reluctantly .accepted on both sides, and therefrom is a clash. Peg resents any disparaging allusions to her father, and airs her views about honesty and original sin, while she causes unbounded amusement when she delivers some of her father’s turbulent speeches. Miss Nellie B ram ley cannot fail to arouse admiration in her characterisation of Peg She has admirable support from the accomplished members of'the company in important roles.
