Considerable interest centres round the week’s mission being conducted in Auroa at present by the Rev. \V. T. Hooper, c.f Gonville. Tlie mission concludes on Sunday night, when Mr Hooper intends to speak upon the subject of Christ’s second coming. In our advertising columns to-day entries are invited for a monster tug-of-war, to be held on November 18 and following days, in aid of the Catholic bazaar. It is reported that several teams have already entered—two from the railway station, two from the telegraph linesmen, two from the railway workers at Kapuni, one from the Inaha factory, and an entry is expected to-dav from the Hawera Dairy Company and another from the champion team at Tirimoana, so that the function promises to be even more successful than the one held in Hawera some ten years ago.
