HAWERA OFFICE EETUBNS. During September only, one bankruptcy was recorded at the Deputy Official Assignee’s office in Hawera. In August,there were none, and in July two. The total for the September quarter is therefore three, hut Mr Sage explained to a Star representative that tlie two bankruptcies in July, though filed at Hawera, really belonged to districts outside of his boundary, and that his district had actually only one bankruptcy in the quarter. During the June quarter eight bankruptcies were filed at Hawera, and during the March quarter five, making the total for the nine months sixteen. Mr Sage stated that lie thought it worth noting that it was many months since a business concern in his district had filed, although lie knew that some people were experiencing difficulties.
