Rider Haggard spoke of the necessity for a redistribution of the population of the Empire, which could be done and must he d-oue. If Britain was to remain safe the Dominions must he safeguarded. He said that Australia could accommodate 50,000,000 whites, and many of those starving in Britain might be given an opportunity to become the forefathers of a great and happy population overseas.—Reuter.
