TERRIBLE DOMESTIC TRAGEDY. WOMAN DIES FROM WOUND. (by TE-LEGRaPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION.) AUCKLAND, Oct 5. A shocking domestic tragedy occuried in ManaAva Road, off Victoria Avenue, Remuera, this evening, resulting in the death of Mrs. James Simpkins, aged 25, and her husband, aged 53, a bush, contractor, formerly of Thames, being sent to hospital unconscious. The parties had been living AA’ith their respective families. It' is -stated the Avife met her husband by appointment at a street corner to discuss her intention to separate. as she Avas' unhappy. A feAv minutes later a scream was heard and the woman was found dead Avith a terrible razor cut in her throat, and the man Avas lying beside her unconscious from a similar Avound, a razor lying near his out-stretched hand. Deceased leaves tAvo boys, two and four years old respectively.
