The absence of Director from the Epsom is due to an accident. While training on Rosehill course he threw the jockey (D. O’Connor, a Queenslander), whose foot became, caught in the stirrup and he was dragged some, distance, his jaw and collarbone being broken. The annual meeting of the Kurow Jockey Club was held to-day. There was a large attendance. A heavy thunderstorm occurred after the fourth race and the going became very heavy.
