NOTE OF WARNING
LEAGUE OF NATIONS. PRODUCT OF THE CONTINENT. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION —COPYRIGHT Received Oct. 3, 10.15 a.m LONDON, Oct. 2. The Times, referring to the amended protocol adopted at Geneva, says that the League has undertaken a worldwide w*ork before it is a w*orid-wide institution. The British Empire is the likeliest to feel the consequences ol ; this defect. It declares the League still remains essentially a product of Continental minds, that the technical details have been largely moulded by lawyers and diplomatists of Central Europe, and the driving force has been the French delegation, who see an opportunity for completing their netu*ork of alliances by the inclusion of Britain, which now stands more or less committed to assist France .and any of her Central European allies if any of the provisions of the Treaty of Versailles are anyw*here violently infringed.—Times.
