GRAVE PERIL
THREATENS BENGAL. ALL INDIA INVOLVED. PLOTS DISCOVERED. KV --VttJEHP aSSUIUAITON .'Cut's kli\iU'. (Received Oct. 3, 10.20 a.m.) LONDON, Oct. 2. The London Times’ special correspondent in Bengal declares that grave peril threatens Bengal and perhaps all India, in the shape of a revolutionary movement; and he supplies details of a terrorist campaign, including assassinations. He says firearms are more easily, obtained than formerly from Germany and Russia through, smugglers. Recruitment by revolutionary organisations is proceeding apace, and plenty of funds are now available. The police verified a vast amount of information,' proving the existence of a revolutionary conspiracy to repeal the laws empowering them to deal with subversive literature and to render them powerless to check its distribution. The situation is ominous, and the time is ripe for drastic steps to check this most serious menace.—Times.
