INCREASED SUBSIDY. The Government grant to the Workers’ Education Association of New Zealand will be larger this year by £IOOO than it has been hitherto An increase of £SOO is already on the Estimates. Cabinet agreed on Monday to authorise the grant of a further £SOO. Under the previous arrangement' the Government allowed £SOO to each of the University Colleges for W.E.A. work and £SOO to the W.E.A. itself for organisation and other expenses, a total of £2500. That amount will now he £3500.
