CLAIM FOR DAMAGES. AY CAHLB PKRHS ASSOCIATION AjOP fBMJHI . Sydney; Sept. 30. The Admiralty judge delivered judguient in cross actions arising out of the collision between the steamers Kooyong aiid Whangape. The Mclhvraith McKacharn Company, owners of the Kooyong, claimed £4OOO damages, and the Union Company, owners of the Whangape, claimed £12,000. The judge considered that the master of the Whangape was blameable for the collision in not keeping out of the Kooyong’s way, but he was not prepared to say, the Kooyong did not contribute towards the collision. The court ordered the Union Company to pay the cost of the Kooyong’s damages, when the amount was ascertained, also to pay the costs of the action.
