A framed photograph of the late Lieutenant-Commander W. E. Sanders, .C., was presented to the borough of Takapuna on Wednesday by Mr. W. Blomfield. In handing the portrait to the keeping of the Borough Council, Mr. Blomfield said it was taken in England just prior to LieutenantCommander Sanders’s departure on his last epic adventure, and was, without doubt, the last photograph taken of the gallant New Zealand sailor (states the New Zealand Herald).
