WORK OF THE SESSION.

. BILLS TO BE DEALT WITH. (BY TELEGRAPH -PRESS ASSOCIATION.) WELLINGTON, Sept. 29. A statement concerning the work of x the session and the matters, remaining to be dealt with was made by the ; Premier (Mr W. F. Massey) when the House met at' 7.30 to-night. Mr Massey , said that already the House had passed 25 Government Bills. Fourteen local Bills had been passed and five private Bills had been put through, a total of 44 measures, i and lie did not think there .> was . much, wrong with that. He read a list of the measures which he proposed to ask the House to pass, all of which he believed could he passed this year. He thought the session might end in a month. Mr Massey read out the following list of Government Bills at present on the order paper, those at present before select committees, and the legislation yet to be submitted to Parliament: * " ! . In reply to the leader of the Opposition. (Mr T. M. Wilford),, Mr Massey promised to put all the financial amendments into the Finance Bill, and to put into the Appropriation Bill only ■ such matters as were dealt with in the Estimates.

The remainder of the sitting was occupied with local Bills, and the; House rose at 12.20 a.m. till 2.30 p.m.
