MARKET REPORT. The Farmers’ Organisation Society report: On Saturday at Hawera yards we conducted a sale of dairy heifers. About 70 heifers were yarded, and we report a total clearance at che hammer. Buyers were present and competition was good throughout. Best price for good quality dark Jersey heifer £l4, others at £8 10s jo £10; good heifers but more backward, or net so good quality, to £7 10s. The average obtained over the yarding was about £7 15s. At Stratford on Saturday at our yards, on account of Hobbs Estate, Moore and Tonks, we conducted one of the most successful dairy sales which have been held this year. The cows were in good condition and showed! a good deal of quality. There was an exceptionally large attendance of buyers and competition was particularly keen, especially on the three-year-old heifers, which were a very choice lot, over which the great average of £ls 7s 6d was obtained. The average over the whole herd was £ll 3s, best cows making up to £ls.
