BANKRUPT’S ADMISSION. (by telegraph—press association.) WELLINGTON, Sept. 29. The creditors of Geo. Swanson, meat dealer, were not at all satisfied when his affairs came before' the Official Assignee. That official himself complained that the bankrupt had treated him with contempt, and alluded to certain language used over the telephone in reply to questions. Swanson admitted that he frequently attended races,' and had received £l2O from a double. The creditors said they had got none of it, and the Assignee said bankrupt had to account for £I4OO in 18 months. He felt very much inclined to refer the case to- the Public Prosecutor, but weulcl give bankrupt a week to prepare a statement which he had so far. failed to do.
