THE WEATHER.
The Government Meteorologist telegraphed that for 24 hours from 9 a.m. to-day the indications are for northerly winds strong to gale, and backing by north to west. The weather appears likely to be cloudy and unsettled. Rain probable. Barometer falling, but rising after about 24 hours. Seas heavy; tides good.
