Received Sept. 25, 12.55 p.m. PEKING, Sept. 24. The Mukden forces continue to advance, capturing important strategical points. Kailu is attacking the second army, under General Lichinglin. The Chihli army suffered many casualties. The Mukden army suffered much less. Tins victory makes the fall of Chaoyang certain. The Chihli troops are retiring on Jehol, where the Christian General’s troops are concentrating with the object of checking the advance of Changtsolin, There has been no serious ; nghting at Chanhakwan, although Chjngwantao was bombed. Changtsolin has advised foreigners and foreign ships to evacuate Chingwantao, which is Wu Pei Fu's headquarters. The British Consul advised that it is desirable to evacuate, and it is believed that other consuls are adopting a similar attitude. Changtsolin stated that the defeat of the Chekiang troops would not alter his plan of campaign, and he believes he is sufficiently strong to defeat Wu Paji Fu. He intends attacking Shanghai and Jehol simultaneously.—Sydney Sun Cable.
