Received Sept. 24, 1.20 p.m LONDON, Sept, 23. An exciting race to. assist a distressed steamer i s reported by the Orient liner Orsova, homeward "bound from Australia. She wirelessed this morning that she had received an S.O.S. signal from the American steamer Cranfprd, off Cape Finisterre. The Orsova u T as 47 miles distant and the Leitrim 30 miles distant. Both are rushing to assist.—Reuter.
