LONDON, Sept. 22. » Rene Agar, Muriel Brown,, and Phyllis Shaw, girl inmates of a rescue home at Leeds, carried out a daring coup.

They bound and gagged the matron hand and foot, locked two other inmates in a bedroom, gagged a dog with a dishcloth, cut the telephone wires to prevent an alarm, and escaped in , a taxicab, taking with them small sums of money. Of the three only Agar has been rearrested.
