Robertson 93, G. H. Cross'93, S. Hall 92. EVerv competitor for the first round of Rae’s trophy was successful in qualifying for the next -round. The members have been reliandicapped for the second round and handicaps sealed. This trophy will be keenly contested. The handicaps for the first round are posted up on the notice board at the range and will give members a fair indication of their handicap in the second round.

There are now' only three left to fire for Catran’s trophy—-Miss Lyall, Mrs. Rae and Miss Ingram. , Since the last- report appeared in the paper, the Haw-era. Club has fired two competitions w'ith outside clubs, and has been successful in w'inning both. The clubs fired against were Groytown and Damieyirke. The' Hawera scores were very good in both matches, particularly so against Damieyirke. Tu the latter match the arrangement was that the two- low T est scores l on each side were to- he eliminated. When one bears in mind that ninety-sevens had to he cut out of the local team it gives an idea of the excellent shooting of the team. The scores against Da-nnevirke lvere :

Here it may be stated that our club holds the New Zealand record for a five shot match, scoring 491 out of a. possible 500 against the Wanganui P. and T. Club last year.
