In a most enjoyable match played at Waver ley on Saturday between teams representing New Plymouth and Waverley, the visitors were defeated by nine games to eight, three being halved. Fourteen players comprised each team, New Plymouth scoring five wins in the singles and three in the four hall, while Waverley registered six wins in the 1 singles and three in the four hall.
