ANOTHER BATCH OF BOYS. 'H\ to. <wii. « pm-—PHFHg ASSOCIATION - * PALMERSTON N., Sept. 19. Twenty-nine boys, dependents or orphans of British seamen, arrived here yesterday from Wellington, en route for Flock House Estate, to learn farmmg in connection with the sheepowners’ acknowledgment of their debt to British seamen. This is the second quota to go into residence at Flock House. The first hatch of 25 are now in the third month of training. The lads, whose ages range from 14 to 17. came out in charge of Mr D. Gulland Dunn, assistant secretary to the London Central Y.M.C.A. The boys are in good health.
Speaking to a reporter, Mr Gunn was enthusiastic in his praise of the Dominion Immigration Denartment in England. The officials at Home are very good, and there is a wonderful human side about their dealings. Officials from the highest to the lowest were warmly praised.
