NEW YORK, Sept. 16. A telegram from - Syosset -"says’ the Prince, of Wales’smilingly participated in the ceremony of handing the great silver polo cup back to America. Thdn he was immediately surrounded and followed for a, quarter of a mile across the M.eadowbrook grounds'by a dense, pushing crowd of American men and . women,-who were far more interestedin looking at the. future British King and cheering his graceful gesture of good sportsmanship than in the victory their. countrymen had just won. There were cries of thi-ee cheers, for the/Prince and the friendliness of the throng was exhibited in every possible manner. The Prince of Wales appeared to; ent jov to-day’s game' more Saturday ’s match, waving. ! his hat and clapping ‘his hands when the ‘ Britishers scored.
