EMPIRE PUBLICITY WEEK. In discussing the question •of a special feature to he run in conjunction with next year’s Winter Show The manager, Mr. L. O. Hooker, intimated to a Star reporter that it was a most opportune time to conduct, or rather institute, an Empire Publicity Week. Mr. Hooker pointed out that such a feature would offer great scope for cooperation of all forces in the district, and should prove a wonderful means of advertising New Zealand abroad, and in particular South Taranaki. “There are many points about this scheme which will be made known as matters develop,” said Mr. Hooker, “ljut it will suffice to say at present that I have the co-operation of the Publicity Department of the Government. liawera has given a lead in a great many matters of a similar kind, and this will place it still further in the forefront in providing original ideas in the interests of Empire cooperation.”
