FUNER AL OF MURDERED DEPUTY

at CABLE- PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT ’ ROME', Sept. 16. Three hundred thousand Fascists, headed by Signor Mussolini, followed the hearse at the funeral of Deputy Casalini, who was shot in a tramcar the other day. Small Fascist groups attempted to. attack the opposition newspaper offices, but they were frustrated. Great animation prevailed throughout the city, but there were no serious happenings owing to the severe measures taken by the authorities. Fascisti formed a hollow square. at the burial. A t-atoo of. drums preluded the roll-call, and when Deputy Casalini’s name was called the assembled Fascists thundered “Present,” simultaneosuly shooting their arms skyward.
