On the information of the police, Frederick David Edgecombe appeared before Mr H. Graves, J. this morning on a charge that on September IS he did assault with the intent to commit grevious bodily harm to one Ah So, and that lie did cause actual bodily harm. to. the said Ah So bv striking him on the head with a knife.

Mr. G. Ryan appeared for the accused, and Sergeant Henry for the police, asked • for a remand" until tomorrow. Bail was granted accused for £SO and one surety of £SO.
