BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COP2B.IGHT London; sept. 13. In a match the Champion County v. the Rest at the Oval, Yorkshire made 166 (Holmes 62). Tate took four wickets for 48 runs, and Douglas took three for 12. The Rest have lost two wickets for 165 (Hobbs 40, Sandham 45).
BRITISH TEAM FOR AUSTRALIA
1 Received Sept. 15, 11.5 a.m. LONDON, Sept, 14. Speaking in connection with the departure of the cricket team for Australia, Gilligan said that as far as lay in his power there would be no unpleasant incidents and no cabling of articles by members of the team. The team would give Australia a good game; whether it would be beaten or not was another question.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
