Extra choice ox, £i 14s per 100 lb; choice and prime, £1 10s to £1 12s; ordinary and plain, £1 6s to £1 9s; prime young cow and heifer, £1 7s to £1 10s; ordinary cow, £1 2s to £1 6s; rough beef, 7s to Is 6d; extra heavy, prime steers, £l4 to £l6 ss; lighter, £ll 10s to £l3 10s; light, £9 10s to £11; unfinished and small, young cows and heifers, £9 to £11; heavy, £7 to £8 15s; lighter, £4 10s to £6 10s; other cows, £2 10s to £4. An average yarding of sheep. Values were about the same as last week. Extra prime wethers, £2 8s 9d to £2 11s; heavy, £2 5s 6d to £2 7s 6d; others, £1 14s 9d to £2 3s 6d, shorn, £1 13s to £1 15s 6d; heavy ewes, £1 15s 6d to £1 18s 9d; others. £'i 11s 3d to £1 14s; shorn; ewes, £1 9s 6d; hoggets, light, £1 10s 9d to £1 15s. A heavy yarding of calves. Prices firm at late quotations. Heavy vealers, £3 18s to £4 12s; medium vealers, 15s to £2 10s; small and fresh, dropped, to £1 10s. A moderate yarding of pigs met with good competition at about last week’s values. Extra heavy baconers, to £4 14s; heavy baconers, £3 17s to £4 4s; light and medium. £3 12s to £3 1.55; heavy porkers, £3 3s to £3 10s; light and medium, £2 12s to £3; unfinished porkers. £2 2s to £2 10s: choppers, for extra heavy, up to £5 17s. Store pigs at late rates.

ADDINGTON MARKET. CHRISTCHURCH. Sept. 10 At Addington market the entry of Fat cattle to-day was again heavy, •ihout 30 per cent, coming from the No-th Island. Fat sheep were in rather short supply. The result was an easing in beef values and a hardening in mutton. Fat Sheep.—A finning sale through--uit. values being in advance of last week bv Is 6d per head. The sale '•included firmly.
